Network Information
The Lone Star Legal Network is a group of seven independent law firms with more
than 550 lawyers practicing in 9 cities in different parts of Texas. The Network
Firms have combined their knowledge, efforts and resources for the primary purpose
of expanding the scope and improving the quality of legal services each firm provides
to its clients as well as increasing efficiency and lowering the costs of providing
those services. The member firms of the Network are better able to serve the interests
of clients because of its statewide geographical reach, cumulative expertise in
both general and specialized practice areas, and local community knowledge and legal
credibility before a specific court or other decision-making body.
The qualitative criteria that are necessary for membership in the Network and the
familiarity with each member firm’s special skills and expertise allow member firms
to make referrals within the Network with confidence. Clients have come to regard
the Network as an expansion of the service available to them. Consequently, the
client’s independent relationships, with the referring and referred firms, are strengthened
by the successful handling of referral matters within the Network.
The member firms consult with their clients and refer within the Network only if
the client’s interests are better served by a Network member. Each firm retains
its total independence in determining for its existing clients whether that client’s
interests are better served by the firm providing the service itself or by referring
the matter to another firm within or without the Network.
The Lone Star Legal Network is well represented in the State capital, Austin, where
member firms engage in a varied administrative and regulatory law practice and stay
active in the Texas political process. Member firms of the Network serve as bond
counsel, represent insurance industry interests, banks and other financial institutions,
practice in the hospital and health field, and have otherwise engaged in a general
litigation, corporate and real property practice that includes Texas'’ largest and
most sophisticated users of legal services. Within the Network’s member firms are
also found former Presidents of Metropolitan Bar Associations, State Bar Directors,
the State’s top trial lawyers, marital and family lawyers, oil and gas lawyers and
counsel intimately familiar with the import and export of goods and international
law.
The Network exists to provide a superior legal product any place within the State
of Texas or the United States through its relationship with a national network of
major law firms. Any of its member firms may be contacted directly and one should
simply ask for the “Network Representative.”
